We’ve all heard the old adage: ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away.’ But could the same be true for just a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar a day? Here are just a few ailments that apple cider vinegar helps cure:

Sample Remedy for the Cold and Flu
One shot of this traditional cider remedy will knock the cold right out of you. The longer it sits the stronger and more potent it becomes, both in nutrients and taste. This spicy elixir can be taken as a 1-ounce ‘shot’ for adults, or diluted in tea or juice for both adults and children. It can even be mixed in a cocktail—adults only, or course.
Instructions:
1. In a large glass container, combine the horseradish, garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric, habanero chile, orange, lemon, black peppercorns, rosemary (if using), and thyme (if using).
2. Pour in the cider vinegar until all ingredients are covered. Seal the container with a nonreactive lid. Shake well.
3. Place the container in a dark place. Let sit for 3 to 6 weeks, shaking daily.
4. Strain the vinegar into a smaller, clean glass jar. Stir in the honey.
5. Seal and refrigerate.
Ingredients: ½ cup peeled and diced fresh horseradish ½ cup peeled and diced garlic cloves ½ cup peeled and diced onion ½ cup peeled and diced fresh ginger ¼ cup peeled and diced fresh turmeric root 1 habanero chile, or 1 jalapeño pepper, sliced 1 orange, quartered and diced 1 lemon, quartered and diced 1 tablespoon black peppercorns 1 tablespoon dried rosemary 1 tablespoon dried thyme (optional) 4 to 5 cups apple cider vinegar, plus additional as needed ¼ cup raw honey
