Welcome to the Nurse Advice Line Program, a toll free service for all DC Chartered Health Plan Members.

This toll free service is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is available in over 150 languages.

How Does the Nurse Advice Line Work?

The Nurse Advice Line Program is a Free and confidential service that gives you and your family answers to health care questions. You can call anytime. Nurses answer your calls 24 hours a day, anytime day or night.

  • Nurses are available to help you, especially when you cannot reach your doctor.
  • Just call the Nurse Advice Line, talk to a nurse and you decide what to do next.
  • The nurse can help you:
    Decide when to go to the Emergency Room
    Decide when to go to the doctor
    Take care of yourself at home
    Cope with an ongoing health problem
    Change your lifestyle
  • They help you prepare to talk with your doctor and decide what questions to ask. Then together, you and your doctor can decide what treatments are right for you.
