Becoming a DC Chartered Health Plan, Inc. Member

DC Chartered Health Plan, Inc. offers FREE Health care programs and services for eligible DC residents.
To become a Chartered Health Plan member, you must apply and be approved for the DC Healthy Families Program.

DC Healthy Families is a free health insurance program funded by the District of Columbia and the Federal Governments exclusively for DC residents that are children, adolescents under age 19 who live alone, pregnant women, and their parents or guardians.

To be eligible for DC Healthy Families, you must meet the Income Guidelines below:

DC residents that are uninsured and do not qualify for the DC Healthy Families Program, may become a member of Chartered Health Plan’s DC HealthCare Alliance Program. The DC HealthCare Alliance Program
is a health care program funded by the District of Columbia, which provides access to free healthcare services for qualified uninsured DC residents.

The DC HealthCare Alliance Program provides FREE health care to individuals who meet all the following requirements:

1. Live in the District of Columbia;
2. Meet the income guidelines, income (before taxes) must be at or below a required amount that is based on the number of people in your immediate family.
