Chartered has been a partner in support of the Alliance Program for over 5 years and has built a robust and diverse network. A brief profile of our Alliance Provider Network include:

  • 312 Primary Care Providers;
  • A PCP to member ratio of 68:1;
  • A specialty network of over 1,300 professionals supporting our PCP network;
  • The largest and most comprehensive facility of its kind east of the Anacostia River in our affiliate, the Chartered Family Health Center;
  • LabCorp, a nationally recognized provider of laboratory/diagnostic services;
  • A network of Community Health Centers where members can obtain not only services but also obtain prescription drugs; and
  • A broad array of ancillary service providers.

Our Alliance Provider Network is a true partner in providing quality health care services to the residents of the District of Columbia. Our providers are an entrusted team of professionals and we are committed to enhancing our services to them and welcome their input.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has awarded Chartered an accreditation status of Commendable for service and clinical quality that meet NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement. According to Margaret E. O’Kane, President, NCQA, "Achieving an accreditation status of Commendable from NCQA is a sign that a health plan is serious about quality. It is awarded to plans whose service and clinical quality meet or exceed NCQA’s rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement."
