Non-Members DC Chartered Health Plan, Inc. (Chartered) is a Washington, DC based Medicaid Managed Care Organization. We have been dedicated to giving quality medical care to DC residents since 1987.

Chartered provides a variety of health care services through its vast network of Primary Care; Specialty Care; Hospital, Pharmacy, Dental and Vision partners; and Ancillary Service providers.

We offer the following products:

Medicaid as a participant in the DC Healthy Families Program.
DC HealthCare Alliance Program, a program for uninsured residents of the District who are not eligible for Medicaid.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has awarded Chartered an accreditation status of Commendable for service and clinical quality that meet NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement. According to Margaret E. O’Kane, President, NCQA, "Achieving an accreditation status of Commendable from NCQA is a sign that a health plan is serious about quality. It is awarded to plans whose service and clinical quality meet or exceed NCQA’s rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement."
